Michael Craft
Lead Pastor
Michael was born a pastor’s kid and has loved Jesus for as long as he can remember. He realized God’s call on his life at an early age, and later, while In Bible college, after attending a Calvary Chapel church in Costa Mesa, California, he fell in love with expository, verse-by-verse preaching. Around that time, he also fell madly in love with Kelli, an incredible girl in his New Testament Survey class. In the late 1980s, Michael dropped-out of school for a season and lived on a tour bus to play bass guitar for the Christian Rock group, Destiny. Due to his desire to follow the call on his life to ‘pastor’… and his desire to marry Kelli, that was not a long season. He and Kelli were married in August of 1990, and Michael returned to school to finish preparing for the original call on his life, to pastor. Michael earned his degree in pastoral studies/theology by attending schools in Southern California, Central Oregon, Kansas City, and even some online classes in Arkansas. He was a crazy youth pastor for eight years and then started a church in his home just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. The church he pastored grew bigger than he could have ever imagined and began making a loud noise for the cause of Christ in the small suburb. He and his wife were at this church for 18 years. From there, he and Kelli moved to Colorado where he pastored full-time for another 10 years. All-together, Michael and Kelli have been blessed to be in ministry for over 34 years.
Michael loves Jesus, the Bible, and people. He also loves giving hugs, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching old movies, screaming during NFL football (“Go Chiefs!”), listening to classic Christian rock, grilling outdoors, hanging out with his wife, his family (5 awesome children and 10 grandchildren), and his brothers and sisters in the Lord. He has some Scripture tattoos, a ssssslight ssssslur, and uses the expressions “dude” and “awesome” a bit too much. Pastor Michael has a sincere passion for God, a passion for people, and a passion for creating a platform to bring the two together. You can learn more about him at: www.MichaelCraft.org
