OUR ITINERARY
  • DAY 1, OCTOBER 16, 2010—DEPART USA
    Our journey of a lifetime begins with an evening departure on Royal Jordanian wide body jet. After take-off, we will be served dinner and breakfast and lunch.

  • DAY 2, OCTOBER 17, 2010—ARRIVE AMMAN, JORDAN
    Upon arrival in Amman, our agent who assists us through customs and security will meet us. Transfer to our hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 3, OCTOBER 18, 2010—MADABA/MT. NEBO/JERASH/BORDER CROSSING/THE GALILEE
    This morning we drive to Madaba the sight of a mosaic map of Jerusalem from the Byzantine era and then on to Mt. Nebo, to stand where Moses stood to view the Promised Land. After a short road trip to the north we enter the ancient city of Jerash. Jerash was one of the Decapolis, a group of ten Hellenized cities during the time of Christ. We continue to our border crossing, and leave Jordan for Israel. We overnight in the Galilee area.

  • DAY 4, OCTOBER 19, 2010—GOLAN HEIGHTS/CAESAREA PHILIPPI/
    TEL DAN/HAZOR
    There is nothing quite like watching a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from your guesthouse or from a boat. Today will include many biblical sites in the Upper Jordan Valley: Caesarea Philippi (Paneas; Mark 8:27), view Mt. Hermon (Deut. 3:8), Banias Waterfall, Tell Dan and the Nature Reserve, Border of Lebanon (Josh. 11:17), and Hazor (Josh. 11:10; 1 Kgs. 9:15). Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

  • DAY 5, OCTOBER 20, 2010—CAPERNAUM/PETER’S PRIMACY/CHURCH OF THE BEATITUDES/TABGHA/JESUS BOAT/BOAT RIDE
    This morning we rise at our hotel on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Today will include many biblical sites along the shore of the Sea of Galilee: e.g., Capernaum (Matt. 4:13), Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 57), Tabgha (Feeding of 5,000; Mark 6), Church of Peter of Primacy (John 21), The Jesus Boat exhibition; Sunset boat ride across the Sea of Galilee; Dinner of St Peter’s Fish and overnight in Tiberias.

  • DAY 6, OCTOBER 21, 2010—NAZARETH/MEGIDDO/MT. CARMEL CAESAREA MARITIMA/JERUSALEM
    Today we depart the Galilee, visiting the following biblical sites: Nazareth - Mount of Precipice (Luke 1 & 2), Mt. Carmel (1 Kings. 18), Megiddo (Armageddon;
    1 Kgs. 9:15; Rev. 16:16) and Caesarea Maritima (Acts 9 & 25). We proceed south to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 7, OCTOBER 22, 2010—VALLEY OF ELAH/BETHLEHEM/ SHEPHERD’S FIELD (YMCA)/UPPER ROOM/HOUSE OF CAIAPHAS MODEL OF JERUSALEM/SHRINE OF THE BOOK
    Today we will go to the Valley of Elah where David killed Goliath the Giant of the Philistines. We will then pass by Rachel’s tomb on the outskirts of Bethlehem, and visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd’s Field. From there we will go on to Mt. Zion. We visit the Upper Room, where Jesus spent those last momentous hours with his disciples before his passion, and it was also here where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples on Pentecost. We visit the house of Caiaphas, where Jesus was tried and where Peter denied his Lord. From there we will go to the Israel Museum, including a 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem at the time of Herod the Great and the Shrine of the Book Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

  • DAY 8, OCTOBER 23, 2010—WESTERN WALL/RABBINICAL TUNNEL TEMPLE MOUNT/VIA DOLOROSA/CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE TEMPLE TREASURES
    We will enter Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, and walk to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of Herod’s temple. Beyond the wall lies the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Sam. 24:18-25). On this site now stands the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in all Islam) and the El Aksa Mosque. From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen’s Gate, the Sisters of Zion Convent (to see the Pavement where Jesus stood as he was being tried by Pilate), Ecco Homo Arch, and then follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the ancient Cardo. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

  • DAY 9, OCTOBER 24, 2010—MASADA/EIN GEDI/QUMRAN/HEBRON GLASS/TEL JERICHO
    Leaving Jerusalem, we will descend down to the Dead Sea and the wilderness of Judah. Our first stop will be Masada, where we will ascend high upon the wilderness mountain by way of the cable car to the fortress built by King Herod. Here we survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples and palaces. Following the road north along the western shore of the Dead Sea, we will stop at Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul. Continuing north we will stop at Qumran and the possible settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. From there we will go to the city of Palms, Jericho the oldest existing city on earth. Here we will see Tel Jericho and the Mount of Temptation. If it is available on our way back to Jerusalem we will stop at the Wadi Qelt. The Biblical Valley of the Shadow of Death. Back to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

  • DAY 10, OCTOBER 25, 2010—MT. OF OLIVES/CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS/GARDEN OF GETHSAMANE/ST ANNE’S CHURCH and POOL OF BETHESDA/GARDEN TOMB/COMMUNION We continue our explorations with a drive to the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold the breath-taking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed to The Church of Ascension, descend to Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and there visit the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed. Late in the afternoon we will visit the Garden Tomb and celebrate a communion service. We cross the Kidron Valley where enter through St Stephen’s gate and enter St. Anne’s Crusader Church, Pools of Bethesda. We then leave the Old City of Jerusalem and go to the nearby Garden Tomb, one possible location for the crucifixion and burial of Christ.

  • DAY 11, OCTOBER 26, 2010—DAY OF LEISURE WITH POSSIBLE FEW OPTIONS
    Today we plan to offer some special options that people can choose to be a part of or enjoy the city on their own. Some of the possible options will include Hezekiah’s tunnel, the southern wall of the Temple Mount excavations and the Holocaust Museum. In the evening we may take a walk atop the Wall surrounding the Old City. Dinner will be served at our hotel.

  • DAY 12, OCTOBER 27, 2010—BORDER CROSSING/BETHANY BEYOND the JORDAN/DEAD SEA SPA
    This morning we drive to the border and cross into Jordan. After border formalities, we proceed to Bethany Beyond the Jordan. We will have an opportunity to be baptized here, the place where John the Baptist lived when he baptized Jesus. We then drive to our spa hotel, where we can enjoy the remains of the day at leisure to perhaps soak in the mineral rich Dead Sea or take in a spa treatment. We enjoy dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea Spa.

  • DAY 13, OCTOBER 28, 2010—PETRA/WADI MUSA
    Today we begin a long day of driving through the Jordanian desert along the area called the Way of the Kings. On our way we will visit Petra. The “rose red city half as old as time,” This ancient Edomite and Nabatean capital is an amazing example of prophecy. We’ll see the spectacular “city of the dead,” with its famed gorge, ancient streets, temples, dwelling places and tombs, carved in the solid rock. Then we arrive at El-Ji Post, and continue the one-mile journey on horseback, or walk, passing through the famous Siq (the natural gorge) and arrive at the Treasury. Dinner will be served at our hotel.

  • DAY 14, OCTOBER 29, 2010—PETRA/AMMAN/USA
    We depart from Petra after breakfast and proceed to the Amman airport for our flight home. The close of an unforgettable tour.
